i dont think so, businesses are making profits because of green initiatives and their efforts. its not true that, only a dishonest person can bring a huge profit for his company. if a honest person works he will reach his goal faster than a dishonest person.
ReplyDeleteyes, this is a good point, because only they honest initiatives can make the businesses grow quickly and faster, instead of the dishonest initiatives which can automatically bring the businesses down.so all businesses need a honest green initiatives for their survive.
DeleteIn this case, "honest" means somthing akin to "legitimate." The author is wondering if the real "green" efforts can really make profits for businesses or not. You're right though that honesty is much better than dishonesty in business.
DeleteI don't agree with this view,i think that the inverse should be true, because the only thing that the businesses need for its great functioning is to make more benefit than they charges.so i think the only thing to make that huge profit depend on its honest green initiatives and sustainability efforts.if its work in this way,the businesses will grow faster and exist for longtime as they are willing.
ReplyDeleteI think you are thinking right, but not everybody is doing that. If there are honest green initiatives and sustainability efforts, we do not need to discuss this now.
DeleteI like this idea, Aminata. Businesses should not be solely about money, but about sustainability and benefiting their customers.
Deletei dont have agreement with this view because all business need an honest green initiative and sustainability effort for their long Survivability. they also can get more benefits than their changes and the business will boom faster
ReplyDeleteLike you said, I think every businesses need an honest green initiative and sustainability effort for their businesses.
DeleteYou're right, Mohammad that for a business to grow and recieve benefits today, it needs to be more environmentally conscious.
DeleteI disagree with this view. Businesses can gain their own profit even they do honest green initiative. If businesses are being honest then maybe, they can gain money less than when they are being not honest. But it doesn't mean they can't gain money at all.
ReplyDeleteThsi si a good point. Businesses might make a smaller profit if they're spending money on being "green," but they can certainly still make a profit!
DeleteI agree beacuse in business you can't make huge profit with honest green initiative effort. You have to have something to make a profit you can't do it everytime but you have to know where you can make a profit, well its not good but its business.you also can make moeny with honesty but i think it wouldn't be a huge amount.
ReplyDeleteThis is a valid opinion. Many people believe that a busines can not run as successfully if they are spending too much time trying to be green.
Deletewho said busineses talk about making profit so i dont agree with this view because in bisinesses you can put money in something without benefit but if the businesses men do it its helpful because they have a huge power
ReplyDeleteThis comment is a little unclear, Bah. Do you mean that businesses should or shouldn't be focused on profit?
DeleteI agre philanthropy and sustainability can work together if would work honestly to achieve the goals of making profit for the business. Also, working with a set goal can help the business and environment.
ReplyDeleteBut most businesses will care about the profits first.
Deleteexactly most businesses care about money they dont care about environement and nothing else just how to make profit
DeleteYou have a good point that goals are important in business. If a business is no longer measured solely by its profit but also by its environmental impact, then maybe the goals of businesses will change so that they focus on sustainability rather than just profit.
DeleteI don't agree .Most businesses want to have huge profits first .They don't have honest green initiative and sustainability at the same time.
ReplyDeleteThe view looks real for some business right in this moment but having a business and you not doing the right thing to keep yourself up, i'm sure you will get profit but not blessing. Like some restaurant they serves people food that being contaminated while they know its not good for their health, but they still do it after the end of the day they will get the money but they are not bless with it. My mother always say that it's always good to do the right thing even though you are not going to make any profit, but make sure you do it right and in the rest of the day you will get more than what you had spend. Just to let you know i'm not agree with it not at all.
ReplyDeleteI like your ideas here, Wickny. This is a very well thought out comment. And I agree with your mom!
DeleteThank you Professor Kelsey, I will let her know. I really don't know what is the point to have something without blessing. Bless comes before everything reason why I will recommend, that they do the right thing.
